Lowering Shocks / Kit
I would like to lower the rear of my 2006 FLHTC and can't see spending the bucks to Harley for the 1" I will gain for the stock Street Glide shocks.
I mainly ride solo, but do travel with my wife a couple times a year so I do not want to sacrifice the ability for a good ride with her and fully loaded bags and trunk sometimes.
What is my solution?

Are you running these? There is not a lot of info on the e-bay auction site.
Does anyone have these and know the full adjustability range? Quality? Does the air increase stiffness or height on these? Just looking for some more info on these or any other shock that will lower the bike and provide good touring when needed.
Thanks

I use the short Progressive air shocks they work very well. I tried the lowering kits first and they work OK unless you hit any large bumps or dips, the bike bottoms outeven if you have a lot of air in the shocks.
I also rid single most of the time.

I just took a pair of HD lowering shocks, pn# 54631-02B, off my 07 RKC, for sale on Ebay. The ride was poor, I would hit a pothole or bump and they would bottom out every time, I'm not talking about pushing it, just normal city traffic. I went with the 412HD Progressive. Progressive says their shock will sag 1"+-, so I ordered the stock 13" length. Eastern Performance Cycles has some smokin deals on Progressive shocks. $184, includes shipping. Good luck.

If ya go lower - You'll also lose some Cush for the Tush as you'll be reducing the shock travel - Progressive 440's 12" would be the recommended way to go - Or you can always go with a 1" drop lowering Cam and use your OEM air shocks (which is the cheapest way to go and get the same result) Or keep the stock 13" HD Airs and just have Mean City Cycles take a inch or so out of your seats - That way you'll keep the softer ride and it will drop you & you pass down a bit...
