I still say HD has the best quality leathers in that of the FXRG line which is their premium stuff. Lined chaps to protect you from cold and rain, and thick enough to protect your legs in the event of going down. Their jackets are flat out awesome, with a liner to protect from rain, skid pads to protect from going down, and a removeable inside jacket for days that are cool.
I have them and have seen many other leathers, but nothing that compares quality wise. Go to any dealer to try them on, and then buy them from Zanottis, Chicago, or Latus Harley davidson online. You can sometimes find them on eBay for a great deal as well.
Fox Creek leathers are just as good if not better and made in AMERICA buy AMERICANS.....not in China

Oh well! I have nothing against Fox Creek and know they make some good stuff, but I can say that I have compared a couple sets against my FXRG leathers and I still think the HD stuff is better regardless of cost or origin. Especially when the jackets are piped with reflective lines, includes an internalKidney Belt, Removeable Inner Jacket, Liner that keeps it water proof, and has Kevlar skid pads to protect your spine, hips thighs and a$$. Does your made in America by Americansjacket include that in both the pants, and the jacket, and do they connect together via a zipper on the back so you can ride in down pours without getting wet?
There are a lot of reasons to buy FXRG's. Just ask anyone who's put there bike down while wearing them. Most get up and walk away. I can't say that about all leathers although I am sure there are others that include similar protection. To me it's about getting the best quality, and I don't care where it's made as long as it is high quality. So don't take that the wrong way either as no flame is intended against Fox Creek.
If I remember correctly, most leather dyed in Pakistan (and a couple other countries) is vat-dyed (considered much better then spraying on the dye as the US makers must do).
Have you ever tried looking at Langlitz leathers?
I've been riding with one for over 20 years, nothing beats this family made product. Nothing ready made here, need to send in your measurements. Then they build just for you a jacket that fits just so nice. They give you a limted choice on style, but there are four different weights of leather to choose from ,Colors, and leather lined pockets if you like as an option. A number of years ago, some lucky people who work as Neil Youngs road crew at the time each got one, when he toured the washington state area. Think he bought over 50 for that order! Happy bunch of roadies that group was.
Look over their web sight at www.langlitz.com , buy GOOD leather first then chrome!
I will say that the HD FXRG line is some of the best stuff you can buy......but you CAN NOT go wrong with either Fox Creek or Leatherup. The thing that swayed me toward Fox Creek is the lifetime guarantee, and their customer service.
Another vote for Jammin' Leathers and LeatherUp here. Ordered the leather overpants from Jammin Leathers, and a jacket from LeatherUp. In both case, good quality, no problems.
