Default Ultra Windshield

Santa has informed me that I would be looking at a new windshield.
I am 6'1" and I am looking atthru th top inch of the stock windshield. Santa has looked at the Harley 2" shorter and I have been reading about the 9.5 inch Clearview recurved. Also I see some have boughtthe Fastaire (half the price of Clearview).
What is my best value?

I have not used either one but any shorter windshied is nice if you don't like looking though a windshied like me.

I have a 8 1/2" the sunglass color fast air thats fine, but it seems to scratch easy. Can't beat the price! I also have the harley 6" that I run 99% of the time and really like the quality. If your not sure of the size you want, try a fast air for the price you can buy more than one size.
Good luck.

I have both a 8" Fastaire, and a 8" Clearview recurve. They are both excellent windshields. I have settled on the Clearview recurve to reduce wind buffeting. The recurve does make a difference. If you don't need or want the recurve then the Fastaire is your best value for the dollar. If you call Fastaire, talk to Jim. He is a stand up guy. You will probably want a 9" windshield at your height.

Fast Aire, Cee Bailey, Clear View all good in my book. I had a Fast Aire on my 04. I run a Cee Bailey now. I love the curved look

I have a 9.5 inch Clearview in light smoke. I am 5/10", and my line of sight is just a couple inches above it, so it would probably suit you fine also.

They are a bit pricey, when compared to the fastaire, but I think it is worth it, as the recurve portion makes it behave as tho it is a higher windshield, by kicking the wind up and over your head.

Not bagging on fastaire at all, as I also have a 6 inch fastaire that I use in warmer weather, but is does not (due to shorter height, and lack of recurve) deflect the wind nearly as well as the Clearview.

I ran a 8" fastaire for a year and it worked great. I am 5' 11", earlier this summer it develpoed a crack at the mounting tabs on the fairing. I will replace it with a clearview when I get the bike out of the shop.

My vote goes to the 9 1/2" Clearview, great shield and very durable.
