Default quadzilla fairing

I have an 07 road king and i find that this fairing is hard to get on it seems like i have to
widen the brackets more toget it in the slots. Can i bend the brackets out with plyers or
do i have to take the thing apart thanks

i have the same problem with mine it seems like there brackets are 1/8 or maybe even 1/4 narrow. i just gently pry them on with a flat head being very careful not to scrach the chrome. But i 've only tacken it off twice since i got it (8months). hope that helps.

I had the same problem. Here is what I did. I stepped the brackets 3/16". You cannot bend them. I cut the bracket and welded in a 3/16" piece to create the step and then ground and polished the bracket. I did not do it myself. I made a cardboard mock-up and took it to a marine stainless steel fabricator who did it for me. The photo below shows the polished piece and it appears to have been made that way originally.

I wish I had a friend like that. It cost me some big $$ (for what it was) butI wanted it right. $250.00.
