Hi Gang
Just wanted to share with you all that I installed rineharts true duals on my 06 SG last nite. We started around 7:30 p.m and we were done by 10:00 p.m. I thought it was going to be really hard but in fact it was not hard at all. Sometimes I think that I can't do something then when I put my mind and effort to it it turns out very good and no mishaps. Those pipes sound awesome and they look great. We also installed quite a few of chrome pieces thatI received for christmas....
Billett heel and toe shifter, pegs, billett brake lever, winshield bat wing trim plate, fairing inner trim rings etc, new grips I know I am forgetting some.I will post picts of the bikes tonight once we are done with the 07...
Did the same with VH and crome parts. Just like you about 2.5 hours. Its a good feeling, doing something yourself and saving $$$$$. Congratulations, nothing like ownership and wrenchship (if its a word)
I appreciate the posts by the do-it-yourselfers....fortunately I have a buddy with extensive wrenching experience and a heated garage with every tool imaginable including lifts and pneumatics.....he loves to wrench and at the same time I get valuable experience...and in the end we both save a lot of $$$$$...unless there is beer involved, then we figure we broke even!
Yeah I agree they get loud when you are on the throttle but once you level off at speed they quiet down some,,,I might need to look into baffles in the future.. We'll see for now I am just going to ride it and enjoy...[sm=biker2.gif]
