Anybody ever use the Chrome air Baffle 58520-79TC on their Bagger. Anyone got Pics too. Does it look normal on the bike, and does it work????

They came stock in blackon the bikes up thru 2000. It 2001, HD left them off and claimed leaving it off would aid in cooling the bike. That doesn't make sense, since it looks like the baffle directs the air down toward the engine. I speculate that HD, left them off so they could make bucks selling them to people.

They work....and look like they belong. They help to cut down on the wind that comes up between the front of the tank and the fairing.

I love mine - makes a huge difference in how much air blasts at you from underneath. I bought the chrome one and decided i wanted black, so bought a black one from someone here on the forum and gave the chrome one to a good friend. And for under $25 it's a must have.

Do a search on this forum for "fork baffle," and you'll find several threads.

It's cheap, it works well, it's easy to install, and you don't see it unless you look for it. Yep, I think that about covers it......

I put one on mine a few weeks ago. I looks fine and is something you have to be looking for to see it. I can't really say that I'm all that impressed with the amount of change in airflow. I've been getting a lot of buffetting and was hoping the baffle would help. I'm to the point now that I'm thinking about trying lowers to see if that helps. My problem is with the air that flows over the legs and not up over the tank.

Have it. Love it. This is one of those Harley-should-have-included-it-but-they-make-more-money-if-they-sell-it-later parts.

Santa brought me the Chrome one for Christmas. Am waiting for non helmet weather to return before installing. Just by holding it up in place, I think I decided the black would look better. Maybe a little less visible.
