I've been using the same model. It works pretty good and looks much better than the HD model.

ORIGINAL: Burglar56

I have the Lenale fitted to my 2003 Roadkingand if you switch the fan onearly it will stop the engine getting hot enought to burn your leg, I also prefere the Lenale for looks over the huge Harley fan as it looks just like an airwing horn cover.

I will wait to see how things are after it gets warm this summer. I have the parade mode enabled when I picked her up. Lot of money...just take back roads and see the sights.
I've got the parade mode on mine and it really doesn't do much for you. By the time it kicks in the bikes already running hot. It only is going to kick in when you're at idle. And it's made mine stall in traffic because of dropping the rpm, when I go to roll back on the throttle it will stall out.

I decided against the fan although I do think the concept is good. I've heard reports about short lifespans, plus the high price is a deterent, especially if you must replace it every so often. Being an electrical component HD probably only warrants it for 90 days, a year at the most, so you probably won't get much sympathy if it dies on you prematurely. Instead, I decided on an oil cooler, synthetic oil, and a well-conceived map for my EFI controller (PCIII). The oil cooler is less efficient when not moving or moving slowly, but does work somewhat through convection. Last summer my max oil temperature was 230°, and that only occurred twice on very hot days in heavy traffic. Normal temperatures in summer are 210° while moving. These are easily within the acceptable range, but on my bike I wouldn't want them going any higher.
