I'd still get teh SERT and a GOOD tune and/or DTT TwinScan II+ over the TMax.... but that's just me.
... Downside to this system [SERT] is it does not learn or self adjust the A/F due to changing engine configurations or changing atmospheric conditions.
Bzzt! Depending on precise definition of changing engine configurations that statement is either entirely incorrect or only 50% so.
If you mean by putting other-than-stock parts on then you are right about that. If you mean as things wear in/out or otherwise just change due to aging then the Delphi will autotune for that. And it handles changing atmospheric conditions quite well as well, too.
... go to Daytona's web site...
I went to go there a couple days ago and the domain did not exist. It had expired on the 20th. I dug up their number and called. Turns out the partner had neglected to pay the bill. If they are not back up already they should be shortly.
Thanks for the lead PhilM.

Why the preference in fuel management systems? \\; Is there something you do not like about Tmax or do you just prefer the SERT and DTT? \\; I have read alot about the Tmax and SERT and the only thing of substance is the knock sensors with the SERT. \\;

I am not terribly techno savey and need some help. \\; I have some new pipes coming in with a new filter set-up tomorrow. \\; I plan to put on the pipes, but have to wait for the filter til I can figure this s__t out.

The knock sensors-via-sparkplugs only works with the SERT, the MAP sensor is only used for ignition timing on the DTT and is not used at all with the Tmax. Those last two are as of my latest understanding at least, but the several-month-old information may not be accurate any longer if they have updated the OS on either of them to change the situations.
No reason based on any experience, but of the two I am partial to the DTT.
