Probably the only reason I didn't go with a Street Glide was I own a Valkyrie Interstate... So I really wasn't looking for another faring bike or radio... I like being able to pop the windshield off and ride without it come warmer temps... No regrets, I love my Road King Classic...

I've owned both.

My choice was the SG, hands down.

Your choice may be different. Both are great bikes in their own rights.

I would definately buy the Streetglide, but I like long rides. If you are more the short ride type then the Roadking would be a consideration.Like stated above you can leave the radio off-but on long rides it sure makes rackin up the miles nicer.I still have my Roadking and my Ultra. The Roadking sets and the Ultra gets the miles.Im probably going to sell the RK in the spring.I got along nicely with the RK for a long time but in retrospect would have enjoyed the Ultra a lot more.

You'll probably be swayed to the SG...but ifI had to do it again, I would have bought an ULTRA...
From an SG owner...just sayin.

I was a new rider a few years ago. Started with a Fat Boy, liked it for the cool looks. hated it on anything above 65mph. Never could get used to it. Then traded for an 06 RK Cl. again, loved the looks, made it my own with some mods and liked the wind protection. Lowered the bike too. As i got more comfy with riding, I missed some tunes, so I started wearing my Ipod w ear buds. Anyway, i wanted an 08 w the ABS, 96 motor etc. I looked at primarily the SG and the RG. I now have the Roadie and love it to death. As someone else mentioned, turn off the radio until you get used to riding. You will love having music at some point. If not the RG, i would have went with the SG as well. Good Luck.

I agree that both bikes are excellent, I don't do alot of long trips and mostly ride in town and bar hop.I like the naked look of the rkc when you the windshield is off

I have been wanting a RK. I had an Ultra and did not want a fairing again. But damn, buckwheat's post has made me think that maybe I should try a SG just to see. Very good post, buckwheat.

I say get the one that fits you like a old pair of jeans. If it fits wear it.

I like the street glide it's just Sexy

If you are confused wait a month and go back soo which one you like better then.
