Default Anyone know how....

...to remove the rear fender? Doing some winter work on the bike and it is giving me some trouble. Unfortunetally I do not have the manual, so I am reaching out to see if anyone can help. Any info is great!

its pretty easy, the ride must be on a lift. remove the bags and chrome frame covers, and you can see all the mounting points. the only bolt that is a pain is one at the front of the fender at the bottom, ya gotta have long skinny arms, or remove the rear wheel, as i did both times i painted mine, but i was changing wheels. just take your time, and pay attention, and you will find it a fairly easy job. good luck!!

Mike told you right, the front bolt is a PITA, but you can remove it without taking the wheel off, I use channel loks and grab it on the outside diameter, it is slow go but easier than removing the wheel if you aren't changing the wheel. I also put the parts in seperate boxes in groups so there's less confusion when putting it all back together. Just be extra careful to not scratch the paint, I take off my wrist watch and anything else I think can cause a scratch and cover the fender where I can.
