Glad to hear your OK Bluerose. Next Time?..................... There won't be a next time, I have faith. No ABS on my bike, but when I first got it, tried to take a right turn a bit to fast and hit the little pebbles that gather at the intersection. I scrapped up the bottom of the right foot peg and the end of the brake lever, I got really lucky. The worst thing was the bike and I come to rest in a mud puddle, mud everwhere. My ego recovered in no time.
ORIGINAL: Bluerose
You know I didn't even think about him helping...next timeI guess I'll know to stop and tell them where to grab. He was blocking traffic.
Bluerose, if your front wheel was turned and you used the front break at slow speed over you go. Sorry for your troubles, but you are alright and bikes can be repaired. Ride safe
Great! You're ok! and now that is out of the way....
I always try to keep in my head that I am driving the vehicle, the vehicle is not driving me........Too many times I see people get those roles reversed and it is very easy to do! It happened to me recently, but I am in charge of my ride now.......You'd be surprised at how we can handle that "much" weight, power, etc.
Bluerose sorry to see the damage but at least you were not hurt. I learned how to pick up my bike from the Ride Like A Pro video (And I have had to do it twice). I recomend their videos. Here is a sample of Marianne driving her husband around. This woman can out ride most men including me! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kGb-gUgg-l4
