OK. I think I am fairly done reading all the pages of posts on the different tuners/fuel management systems, etcand I think I have now made up my mind. I am going to go with the TMax EFI/Auto Tune, a Fatcat 2-1 pipe, and a Ness Big sucker (stage 1 or 2? I want to run it open).
I feel that this setup, although on the expensive side (for me), will be the best power package, and will be the best "up-front" purchase to handle possiblelater internal mods (up to a point). I am thinking I will like to do the HC103 build in a year or two, and I do not want to have to "re-buy" all my Stage I parts.
Here is what I am looking for...Does anyone have a stock '07 96TC that has done the Tmax/Fatcat/Ness BS (or SEAC/K&N AC)combination that can share their Dyno sheet with me?
I have gone through the Dyno sheet post till my eyes are bloodshoot, but can't seem to find that specific combo. I knowa dyno sheet isnot the end all answer, but I would like to get a good idea of what I am buying before I pluck down the $1500. I'm also gonna go through the Video thread and see if I can find any Fatcats on there to hear the "sound".
When I do this, I will post a review, pics, video, everything I can.
The reason there may be no dyno sheets is beause the advantage to a T-max is you don't need a dyno. Thats what I read in most every post that says Tmax is better than the SERT is no dyno time
Here are a couple of my ride videos that start off with my bike leaving the line in which you can hear my FatCat pipes. They are the shiznit and so are the T Max tuner. Great choice dude! Mine was a 107" but i'm now building bigger. Enjoy the video links below.
I just had a new dyno on my 08 RG when I added Fatcats. I have a stock 96 with SE A/C and a SERT. The results were 74.5HP & 82.9 Tq, I'm disappointed it wasn't better, probably not a very good tune.

Thanks guys for the input. Yes, this is true that with the TMax, you can forgoe the dyno tune because it is a wide band auto tune unit. But you canstill run anevalutaiondyno on it. I'm not looking for the map,I was just wondering if there are any evaluation dyno run sheets out there showing HP & TQ with this respective combination. I can easily find them on BB motors, but not much using a stock 96.

If this don't make you buy a Fatcat...nothing will! lmao
Glideman! Thanks for the video. That pipe sounds sweet. Very distinct sound. Cool videos. Where/how did you mount the camera? That is some beautiful country up there. I've never been very far north, certainly not Canada.
Doubt it would be much different than any other stage 1 dyno run for power and torque (say 75+ HP and 85+ TQ) at best, but it would have a more broad torque curve due to the D&D pipe which gets a big spike in torque low down in the rpm range. I think the D&D is agreat pipe whereit puts the torque dip in the 1.7-2k rpm range. Typically we are accelerating from 2k+ inrpm so the dip becomes verytransparent. The D&D also carries high torque pretty flat from 2-3.5k rpm and then ramps up nicely from there so average torque is much better than most other pipes.
Those video clips were filmed from onboard the bike. I duct tape the camera down to the fender as it's rigid and vibrates less than most other spots on the bike. I always put a cloth below the camera and tape the recorder down tight, then turn it on and let it rip. Then you can edit the best parts later and make whatever video's you like from the footage.
I am watching this thread since it is exactly the same way I plan on going. I am also curious about a dyno to see how much improvement over stock this combo makes, but according to the MoCo's specs it should make 92 ft. lbs. of torque at 3500 rpm. I am hoping there is someone out there getting better results. Those pipes do sound awesome Glideman.
