I agree on both counts. It's nice not to have to worry about tensioners anymore. Now, I can concentrate more time on worrying about when my belt is gonna break.
I didn't worry about the tensioners and simply spent the $ 150.00 to have them replaced at 20,000 miles. Later when I upgraded to Stage III, the cam change and teardown made the change to gear-driven cams cost effective. Now, I still don't worry about the tensioners.
