Can you guys recommend a chrome exchange dealer that does quality work? I’ve seen some stuff done where the quality didn’t seem as good as it could be. I want to send in my lower sliders and don’t want to overpay but am more concerned with quality than price.

my suggestion would be by HD chrome, sell stockers..
if you find a "good deal" on rechromed, it'll be poor quality.
good quality is about same price as new

 

Then i would get new if quality is what you want.

 

I haven't been that impressed with some of the HD fork legs I've seen. That's why I was asking.

Brown's plating in Paduka, Ky has had a high quality product for over 50 yrs. Have used them for rechroming in the past with excellent results. Highly recommended!

 

They were my first choice as I used them back in the mid 70's on a 750 Honda. I thought maybe I could come up with quality dealer that did exchanges as Brown's doesn't. I guess it's not a big deal to wait a few weeks as I'm not doing much riding in MI this time of year anyways.
