Does anyone have an 8" solid black windshield on their bike? I like the look of the Dark Sunglass Gray, but wondering what an 8" Solid Black shield might look like. It will be going on a Vivid Black SG.
I have an 8" on my bike and I find it just right. Have a 6" also and found it caused a lot of buffetingaround my head area.
Iguess it all depends on how tall you ride in the saddle.
Now when you say solid do you mean dark & TRANSPARENT ? If so mine is 8" made by Drag Specialties. Check my pics in my profile's album....I think there are some with the 8" and the billet trim. I had the 6" but didn't like where the wind was hitting me.
I have the smoked 8"but would NOT have an 8" blacked out shield as it would be impossible to see things on an incline or anything right in front of the bike.
Here is a black 7" opaque on my old SG and then on my new one. They aren't head on shots but I love the look. I'm 6' tall and see well over it, but I think a solid black would be pushing it at 8". Mine is from Cee Bailey, my favorite windshield manufacturer.

RE: 8" Solid Black Windshield
I have a black Clearview 8" recurve (6'5") no buffeting or prob seeing over it, think I could have gotten by with a 6"; I'd guess the recurve is probably equal to about 2" or so
