I have a question for the music lovers...I have a Road King Classic andI picked up a lower faing on ebay so i can put in speakers. I also picked up a 300 watt mini amp, with a 2 channel, 4 ohm output to power the speakers, so I can plug in an I-Pod. I've heard great stuff from hog-tunes, J & M, JBL and others. Could this amp be put under my seat or would it be too hot there?
if the amp has "true" 300 watts you will have to go aftermarket for speakers --- wiring for the ipod is pretty simple any audio shop can do it.
do a searchyou can put 6x9s in the lowers

Pez @ Hogtune makes a kit that supplies speakers and mounting ringsfor the front lower fairings and just released them a few weeks ago as a new product. He sells an amplifier that connects inside the fairing (atop the head unit) or under the rear tour pac location for rear pods. You will not be able to fit an amplifier under a seat. There is no room between the frame and the seat pan for anything.
Here is a link to hogtunes. Pez is a very helpful guy who does his best to square things away for the forum users. Give him a telephone call and i'm sure he'll give you some advice. http://www.hogtunes.com/
Thanks for getting back to me. I may go the Hog-tunes route as far as the speakers. I already have a 3"x4" amp,I can't put the amp in the fairing...I have a Road king Classic and don't have an upper fairnig. The amp is small and will fit under my seat, but it will be a snug fit and the heat from the amp is my concern against the seat foam. just wondering if anybody put an amp their without problems? I can possibly put it in the glove-box with the speaker, then I'm thinking about water.
Here's a couple photos of my Hogtunes speakers in the lowers. His brackets angle the speakers up so they point at you instead of your knees. I would think there you be a nasty heat problem putting an amp under your seat.
