The smell of the fire and marshmallows burning on the end of a wooden stick, drinkingbeer anda shotonce in a while. We're men, the whole world becomes our urnal while in the great outdoors, who cares no body is watching. Fresh air, comradely, telling jokes and looking a good wholesome pictures and then developing little tents within the tent. Lots of fun when I was younger. Now I just enjoy a nice motel, hotel or cabin, anyplace with a nice bed, shower, tv and towels to wipe my bike down before I leave in the morning.

Tent where I can.

I have freinds who used to alway hotel it an eat every meal in a restaurant or sports bar.

Now we:
1.buy a few snacks and eat by some scenic stop or other area of interest
2. tent it where we can - family campgrounds are the best. People are always friendly and really enjoy the bikes (when they realize we are not there to burn the place down)
3. buy beer, bring it back to the camp, tell lies and laugh by the fire.

We will grab a hotel if the weather is extremely bad or when it is just time to have a really good shower (3+ days on the road).

I get to the do the big camp ground thing enuff, at my daughter's National BMX Events, so when on road trips, I stay at a hotel. Now, if it were a rally, where most folks were camping it, I would to, but not while traveling.

We do Both camping and moteling. Can't afford to stay in a motel every night and the campgrounds we stay at have the amenities (showers, etc). Usually hit a motelroom about every third night unless the wife has had a bad day riding or the weather sucks.
