Jarman, is that the flyin' apes or the gangster apes. Those things are off the chain. Really likedem but was worried about the windshield.

I have wild 1 12" mini apes. If you look at my bike I have them pressed forward with 1/2" clearence from windshield.
You could pullthe bars back for more clearence if you need.

I've got 10" on mine, about a 1/2 to 3/4 clearance to the windshield. Puts your hands in perfect position, I think.

How are the apes for riding long distance? Are the comfortable? How do they change your ability to steer the bike at slow speeds? I've been told that apes make it more difficult to steer at slow speeds.

Thanks.

Yes, a couple of pictures with and without the tourpak. I'm 5-10, no issues for me putting down flat foot and my hands aren't above my shoulders when I ride. I've got a custom seat made by Rich's (Washington) so it isn't exactly a stock height. However, the Mrs. loves the seat in the back and the backrest is the beans.

I have no issues on the steering. Actually, it's really comfortable. I tried a friend's bike with the beach bars and for long-term rides I like my setup better.
