I have Geico on my '07 Road Glide... 0 deductable on comp and collision... emergency road service etc. I had a claim last August for $18k and I still only pay $578/yr. with no point and I'm 47
I figure I would chime in on this one. Everyone loves to save a buck or two. Is it really worth it, trying to save a buck.
My insurance on my 2007 UltraClassic, and the add-on chrome is covered, cost is $442.24 a Year...
First off, Age for me will be 44 in May.
And yes, just got off the phone with the Insurance & Financial Company.
I am with Country Prefered Ins. (Country Companies has several Insurance Companys)
Depending on your age, credit, zip code, amount of accidents, or claims, this all plays in the variables of what your insurance could and will cost you.
For reference, this is what I have.
$250 comp. deductable
$500 collision deductable
Liablility 100/300/100
Property $100,000 (just increased it from $50,000)
Medical is $25,000 (Asked about making it $50,000 like the rest of my auto's that we own. Its not offered to motorcycles is what I was told.)
I just paid mine thru bikeline. it cost me $810.00 for the year on a 07 heritage here in Rhode Island.
Yikes - Geico $410.00 full coverage - no deductable. as stated in an earlier post - it all depends on zip code - credit rating - tickets - coverage -etc...
Progressive, 100k/300k, 50k property, $500 deductible, $3000 for "custom parts or equipment" 1 year policy $385 here inTexas on a 05 Honda VTX, no ticket's, accidents and no claims in over 20 years,39 years old.
Bought an 08 Street Glide about a month ago, checked the same coverage and it doubled to $750/year. Been shopping around. Basically, they base it off your credit as much as anything. (a few dings due to divorce/child support) Damn theives.........(insurance companies and ex-wives)
Texas is higher. I just moved back after 12 years in exile in TN and my insurance rates almost doubled with the same company I've been with 18 years. Of course I didn't gripe when I moved to TN and they went down!
$309.00 heerin the People Republic Of Massachussetts. $1,000 detuctable. And no medical. We are going through some kind of inssurance changes. Last year had a C50 Suzuki and it was $460 for the same coverage. After talking to my HD friends at work they told me to expect about $900/yr.

After doing more rate quotes and talking to agents that's what I am finding out and it depends where in Texas you live. This part of Texas the rates are just high.
I think I may move from Dairyland to Allstate who has my homeowners and auto. I think I will drop uninsured and under insured along with the road assistance. I may raise the deductible a little to. Allstate will do monthly deductions from my checking account of 49 bucks resulting in a 588 yearly premium.
