Hey all. I'm looking into getting the brackets to move my floorboards forward 2" on my 2003 King. Those of you that have done this, what are you doing for the brake and shift levers? Are you getting extended ones or just using the stock? If getting extended ones what are you using? Thanks in advance. And just to let ya'll know, I have only posted a couple times but have donequite a bitof reading here and ya'll have made me spend lots and lots of money. It definitly is a sickness and I love it. Thanks again.
Stock brake and shift levers here. In my case when the 2" forward brackets were installed along with the spaces that move them outward, I find the positioning is right on for my size 12 boots
I am 6'1" and love the extended floor boards. I also got the EZ Brake and shifter lever. I could do without the shift lever as I have to move my foot forward to shift all the time.
The brake is nice since your foot does not come down on the brake by accident.
I just installed them yesterday along with the EZShift and EZBrake levers. I found that the EZ Shift moved the pedal forward nicely. The EZBrake, however, did not change the position much, I was expecting it to be alot more forward than it is. It's maybe 1/2" forward and 1/2" lower than stock. Not sure if it was worth the money. The brackets from wild bill's are awesome.
I recently put on true forward controls and have the 2" forward floorboards (the floorboard base itself using stock supports and a harley pad), an extended brake lever, and extended shifter that i took off if you are interested.
XXXRACING, EZBRAKE has two different brake levers, one is like the one you are describing, the other has a different shape to it, bringing it forward and down so you don't have to lift your foot up so much. The latter is much better, check out their web-site and see which one you purchased. Jim.
JUST THE EXTENSIONS AND SPACERS TO MOVE THEM OUT A LITTLE HERE. SIZE 15 SHOES. MY BIGGEST PROBLEM WAS SOLVED BY MOVING THEM AWAY FROM MOTOR WITH PROPAD SPACERS. ALSO USED HD KIT TO MOVE FORWARD BUT HD PART ONLY MOVES THEM UP AN INCH OR SO. WISH I WOULD HAVE KNOWN ABOUT THE A/M KIT THAT MOVES THEM UP 2"...ride safe
