I agree with PRrdglide. I have the 12" and I'm 5'8". I want to like it, but when I go any distance it won't be on bike. Around town couldn't be better, but I stop liking it at 60mph.It's great how you can see over it and younever really look through it.I'm shopping for something different now. Might try the 14"MShades

I have the twelve inch. I have gotten used to the wind in the face. Had a rider on for about 150 miles in Sat. She said that she liked it better. She said that her head was not bounced around as much.

Sprint12: I have had the KW 12" on my '08 Road Glide now for about a week. I really like it at all speeds up to about 75 mph. Then it gets a little noisy. I had my tour pac on when I put the KW 12" on and didn't think anything of it. A couple of days ago took the tour pac off and went for a highway ride. I found the wind hitting my face and the wind noise was much greater. I guess the aerodynamics with the tour pac on is different than with the tour pac off. On the whole, I am going to stick with the KW 12" and just leave the tour pac on all the time.

Everyone that comments on the bike's looks mentions how great the new KW 12" looks. .................... BC

I have the 12" on order now, should be here this week. All the bikes that I've had before the RG had either a very small, lay on the tank to get any protection windscreen or none at all. So up until about a year ago, it was always windnoise and wind in the face. I like the protection of the stock shield and the looks of the 9" one (not as much protection and can't hear the radio after 70mph) that I got when I brought her home. I'm 5' 10" and I thinking this is gonna do just fine. I'll add to the reviews when I get installed.

Well, I hate to be the guy who farts in the elevator but I just received my 8" smoke flare (2/21), installed it and went for a test ride. The details? I'm 6'3", 350lbs, 07 Road Glide. No, not my first sled or my first rodeo, anyway, maybe I was looking for a silver bullet, actually, after reading all these wonderful posts I was expecting a silver bullet. I didn't get no silver bullet. I got a great, no, outstanding looking windshield that performs like any other 8" shield on the market. Sure, the fit and finish are outstanding. Yes, the packaging sucks (so what?) This is just 1 man's opinion but I expected a whole lot more for my cash. (No, I'm not complaining about the price) I don't know if y'all got the same windshield I did or if you just don't take your bike out of 2nd gear but I can't find anything, other than the look, that would make me recommend this windshield to anyone. I run a home cut 3" windshield on my Road King (I installed a '76 batwing, and no, it wasn’t easy) and get less "buffeting" from it! Who knows, maybe the 12" is the ticket, ...I emailed the manufacturer a few days ago and am waiting on a response...... If I decide to go with the 12", I'll write another post.

Hi all,

As a suggestion,it would be more helpful is to provide more data than your height.

For example:

1. Do you have soft/hard lowers?
2. Is your bike lowered in the front or rear and by how many inches?
3. D you have a king or chopped tour pak?
4. Are you wearing a full face helmet, 3/4, half or none?
5. Do you have stock/aftermarket handlebars or mirrors?

That way it's easier to put some parameters behind the success or failure of the product to do it's job.
