Anybody tried the new Klock Werks Flare windshield?
Seen it down at the v-twin show this past weekend. Looks pretty nice, wonder if it works.
They say it has been wind tunnel tested.
There are a lot of discussions on the board about this windshield if you do a search. Itsounds like there are a lot of them on order but not a lot of people have tried them yet. I should be getting mine this week. I won't be trying it for a while unless it helps go through the snow.
Lots of discussion about it. Alot of us have ordered them. Some have already taken delivery of them. Do a search in this (touring) section.
BTW, sweet bike. Love the wheels. What seat are you running?
Joe
P.S.
I've ordered the 8in. dark tint
Klock werks Flare w/s
I received the 12 inch tint yesterday and installed it last night. Fit and Finish was 1st class. Looks very kool I must say!!! Took it for a short test this afternoon, now we are experiencing 25 to 35 mph wind gustbut I just had to do it!I am 6'2 and I clearly look over the shield, so at 70 mph I did not feel any wind in my chest or face from the front, I put my left hand in front of my chest and kept raising until I felt the wind coming from the front and it did not hit my hand until my hand was almost to the top of my helmet. I think this shield is everything Klockwerks claims!!! [sm=happy046.gif]

awsome... based on your 'hand in the wind' test, at 5'8", I should get the similar results with the 8" shield... I am stoked !
I just got back from Daytona with the Klock werks wind shield. adds to the looks of the bike but thats is it. I am 5'10" I have had it on for 300 miles in rain, wind, 40 deg Temp. The wind noise and turbulence isterrible at 60 mph and above at times you can not catch your breath, forget about a half helmet at 70.and for get about the radio. If I would have had my stock wind shield I would have put it back on.At least I had it shipped back to me. If you lay down on the bike it works great . I have ridden over 6000.miles with the stock wind shield and speakers in the same type of weather with much better results. For me it needs to be taller. It looks great but for 165.00 it needs to work Hope this Helps.
