Default Which size passenger sissy bar???

Just wondering what most people are going with, which one is more comfortable for the passenger?

Default RE: Which size passenger backrest???

Your question relates to thesissy barheight not the size of the backrest (pad).
Sissybar heightshould be a function of how tall the passenger most often carried is and where the sissybar pad will hit them in the back. My 5' wife is very comfortable with the medium height sissy bar. The backrest (pad) we have is the smaller one and it does well for her. Many tallerwill find the larger pad is more comfortable. I can't imagine the shortest sissybar would feel too good on a long ride, maybe better for short trips only.

Your question conflicts with the survey you have posted, pad size has nothing to do with heigth of sissy bar. I would guess that most would run the medium heigth sissy bar and medium to large pad to cover more of the back area.

You'll need the tallest one if you're going to use the touring seat.
My wife is 5'4" and the shorter bars put the backrest to low to be comfortable
for her. Good luck.

Had the short/short combo. Wife didn't mind it at all. have the medium/medium combo and she likes it better. For looks I much prefer the short/short.

My wife is 5'7 we use the tall on a Road King Custom. She will sometimes sleep back there, so no complaints but then shes never been on an Ultra Classic either.

I bought the taller one... that way, if I did add a touring seat, it would fit well... My wife is 5'2", or so.. the pad hits her in the small of the back... maybe a little of the middle back... she loves it, and yes, my wife has no trouble falling asleep behind me... LOL...
