I agree with the fishing line or dental floss method with a bit of heat from a hair drier. If you have some residue that is extra stubborn a automotive paint supply place may have a tool that will help you out. It is like a big round eraser that goes into a drill chuck. You have to be carful to not burn through the paint, but they work VERY well.
Alcohol...Not the kindyou drink will work small wonders...Yer Ole Ladies finger nail polish remover will do the trick too...It is/was some form of acetone based material... The rub a blister method will not mess up the paintif'n you are scared of aggressive solvents. WD-40, Goof Off or lighter fluid works also...
Once again you guys have come thru for me!!!! I havent decided what to try yet but i will keep you posted. One question i have is can i use mint dental floss????? LOL.....
Go to the auto section of Wally World and buy a can of citrus air freshner in a small pump can. After getting the emblem off, spray on the glue and let it soak for a minute then rub off with your fingers. Works great and won't hurt the paint. We used it on our Peterbilts to remove the 3M tape from the chrome windshield trim when we put new glass in.
