hhaaarrr!!! been there, done that..had a body shop replace the body side mouldings on my 05 dodge diesel p/u 6 inches too high....gottem off (3 day old black paint) but couldn't use my thumbs for a week!!
i too use the dental floss saw trick as far as the sticky stuff i use 3m adhesive remover works very well and says right on the can that it is safe for automotive paint
Just a couple of thoughts about removing an emblem from a repainted tourpak.
Are your SURE that the label was removed for the paint job? Most likely it was, but...
How long did the shop allow the paint to cure before reapplying the emblem? If it was put on soon after the paint job, you may have the orange peel affect or worse when you take it off.
I agree with whoever said to first try whatever solvent you're going to use in an inconspicuous spot underneath the pak before using it on the tape residue. I would not use gasoline.
