Default Klockwerks Flare windshield

I know I'm a FNG but I have tried as many ways that I could think of to search for posts on this windshield and had no success so I figured a new post coulden't hurt. I'm 6'3" and truly hate windshields. I rode my 06 Road Glide with a 6" black contour windshield and now my 07 with the same thing. I have a home cut 3" on my '99 King (I fabbed up a old '76 fairing) and it works just fine. The only other windshield I had on was the stock one (on the 07 glide) and took it off when I got home. The problem I have is the radio.....I have J&M speakers (love 'em) and all's good........till around 60mph, at which point I can't hear a thing!

I read a article about this Flare windshield but we all know the hype. I want real world, real rider reviews....not some dude that thinks "going for a ride" is a trip to the local bar. I really don't care about blocking rain or cold.....I finally have a scoot with a radio and would like to hear it on the highway. These things run about $165 from Klockwerks so I don't want to "experiment".....One thing I've learned over the years is advice is far cheaper than anything you might buy. If you have one of these on your Road Glide, please let me know what you think.....what size you have and whatever else you might want to throw in.

Nedster just PM'ed me and told me at 70 the wind was just hitting the top of his helmet, he's my size 6'2" so the wind protection is just what they claimed! I know the short shield my Roadie had on it when I bought it was the noisest POS I had ever been behind IMHO The Klock Werks shield and some Hogg Tunes and you should be set! Hope this helps you some, now I have to go put my Klock Werks on Oh the shield me and Nedster have is the awesome looking 12"
