My rear brake squeals on my 08 SG.....took it to the dealer the first time....they sprayed brake sqeal on it...still squealed.....took it to a different harley shop....they replaced the pads....and it is still squealing. Now I don't know what to do!!!!! I guess ask them what I should do now. It sucks sucks sucks that they squeal!!! Any suggestions beside just living with the squeal??
Thanks
Mine does too but I still only have about 50 miles on the bike. I just figured it was because they were new and the dealer didn't prep the disc'sright. I just picked my bike up 4 days ago but have not had the chance to ride much due to work. I will check the keeper pin to see if it was lubed or not.
I have 08 SG and they squealeda lot when brand new.. I have 2000 miles now and it is pretty quiet. I'm a techata Chrysler dealership and our Chrysler/DodgeSRT8 cars all have Brembo brakes and they squeak like crazy too... Guss it's the high performance Brembos huh? Chrysler even has a bulletin to replace the pads with an updated Brembo pad that does not squeal. Seems to work. Done lots of them. Maybe they'll do the same forHarley someday???
Mine squealed From about 300 miles on.[:@] Dealer did something at the 1,000 mi service, lasted about 200 miles and then the squeal was back.[:@][:@] At about 3,000 milesI purchasedsome Lyndalls from a member here on the forum. I put 'em on as is, didn't resurface or even scuff up the disk. They were quiet for a few hundred miles then started to squeal.[&o] Afterabout a1,000 miles they stopped squealing completely.[8D] Haven't heard a thing in the last 2,000 miles.
Mine make that noise every once in a while, 1000 miles on it now and my wife notices it. I am half deaf anyways. Just turn up the radio!! But seriously it has gotten better.
