Default 08 REAR BRAKE NOISE
has anyone had any trouble with there 08 rear brake squelling like hell i have had 3,08 baggers and the rear brakes are noisey as hell

Mine too.. Since day one..!! Stealership says it will go away. 3000+ miles and still there. Thinking of replacement Lyndell ? gold racing pads and get them to put them for free..!! (warranty)

Mine does not everytime but once in a while, Everytime it happens Candy just about goes into orbit. I think if must have something to do with the collection of Brake dust. I tell her it is just the magic dust letting us know that we need to go faster.

Had this problem too. When took the bike in for 1000 mile service told the service dept. about it. Had high hopes when they didn't tell me it was normal. When I picked the bike up was told that a keeper pin, that held in the pads, was bone dry. Tech put a little bit of anti-sieze on it and is now quite.

I had the same problem, at the 1000 mile check they ground the edge of the rotor for some reason, it still does it. Drives me nuts. I'll try the anti-sieze.

My rears squeal too. Book says brakes will make noise and to keep them clean, dealer says they all do it. I'm going to push for new pads come spring, not sure it will help though.

hmmmm. I know mine sounded like metal on metal and even some squealing when I first got the scoot... I have less than a 1,000 miles on it still. Howver, the noise basically quit over the last few hundred miles.... but I use both front and rear brake and am mostly fairly easy on them. I have beenaggressive once or twice, but not nearly as aggressive as with my cager brakes. Dunno...

Once in a while I get it but not all the time....It was worse when it was new. Have 1000 miles on them now....the brake dust is bad though...
