Default Clutch spring High Perf

Don't know....so I'm asking: This High Performance Clutch Spring which is recommended for Big Bores........does it make the clutch lever much harder to operate? If harder...how much so?and ,if yes,,,, inexpensive recomendations on making it easier to operate? Thanks

you know that's a good question, or whether it is needed at all, for that matter. My shop foreman said "don't bother" as he was making a custom 95" kit, leaving out the parts that HD added that he didn't agree with. He also picked a different cam (211 vs. 203), and added forged pistons.

Can't answer how the cluth was before the installation of the SE big bore kit. I had the 29871-06 kit installed before I took delivery of the bike. With the clutch spring installed, I feel like pulling the clutch lever, is like a knife thru butter...........easy!

The 211 cam isn't a drop in cam, like the 203, you got to shim the springs. I now wish I had the heads done and went with a bigger bump stick, but the factory warranty wouldn't cover it.

If you are not out for max power don't bother with S.E. Performance spring when adding big bore kit, it is not needed and yes it does require more effort to pull clutch. If you are worried about clutch problems then add a VPC clutch pressure plate instead. It increases clutch lock up with RPM and makes pulling clutch lever easier at low rpm's.
