Default Cobra Pipes

Gents,
I'm considering Cobra 2 into 1 pipes for my '99 Classic. Did a search and nothing; not sure if that's bad or what. I like the 220 deg wrap around heat shields. How's the performance? How's the fit? How's the chrome holding up? The hole in the end of the exhaust looks awfull small, how do they sound?

Thanks!

That surprises me. The advertising copy for Cobra shows the hole in the end to be about 2" so I figured they were baffled quite a bit. Don't know why but the 2 into 1 exhaust systems all seem to be loud. I have Vance and Hines big shots on my Heritage and I think they are a little too loud for a dresser. Any recommondation for a mildly loud system? Ive heard the thunder header 2 into 1 and it's a bit loud. How 'bout the Vance & Hines system?

Had the cobras on my last bike, held up well. They were louder than most but not like a drag pipe.

V&H Pro Pipe is about the mellowest 2-into-1 that i have heard so far as far as 2-into-ones (and that's where the performance is)

Tucker99,
Check out the Supertrapp Supermeg 2 into 1, it has disc's you can add or remove tochange the sound and to tune. I had them on my 2006 FLHT and ended up using 9 disc's, sounded great to me.

I've got the V&H Pro Pipe, a riding buddy of mine has the Thunderheader. His bike is WAY louder!
