There is nothing better than "prescription ground polarized lenses". (ask an optition)Transition lenses do not provide the same protection as polarized. I can really tell the difference between the two. I know that "ray ban" quality polarized lenses do not even compare to a prescription ground lens. I don't know how the newer, higher end, off the shelf polarizedlenses mightcompare to prescription ground polarizedlenses.

I use Harley Branded saftey glasses that cost less than $13 per pair. They come in clear, smoke and mirrored. They are optically very clear, they fit like googles, they are comfortable and look good.

You can get them at http://workingperson.com/brands/1/Ha...n+Eyewear.html and on eBay.

I have a pair of Body specs... http://www.bodyspecs.com/When I got mine, I paid less than $50... seems more like they were $39. Anyways, they are great. They come with three pair of lens. Yellow, clear, and tinted (I got blue, but they had grey). They are easy to swap out, and I have had no trouble with them, for the two years I have worn them. They come with the case, a lens cloth, and a strap. You can remove the arms, and replace it with the strap, making a set of goggles. But, what I really like about them is that they have a removable foam/rubber inner frame, to block out the wind. They work great traveling at a high rate of speed, and when you get to your destination, you slip off the rubber/foam frame, and you have a nice enough pair of sunglasses, that will not make your eyes sweat (they breathe well)... I did look at the panoptx recently, because I would like to have the transition lenes, but for the price (and I heard they don't get that dark), I will keep my body specs...

KD's still the best and at 5 bucks a pair, pick up a dozen or so! And, quiet as it's kept, they ain't that easy to break! *Bike Week they go up to about $12, hmmm..?
Been wearing them since... never mind, long time. If it ain't broke don't fix it...
Oh, did I mention the "old school cool" factor?

I read somewhere that polarized glasses were not recommended for motorcycle use. Apparently since the polarization eliminates glare, the rider may miss an oil slick or some ice.

Most of the cheap ones won't have the foam, to keep the dirt out of your eyes..and at 80 mph that can come in handy.....but there are a couple (Bobster makes some that aren't expensive with foam). I do like the Wiley X glasses, but on those and the Panoptx, I found that the transition lenses never get dark enough.
