Default RE: BOOTS

I personally like my Danner Acadia. I wore my first pair for 7 years while in the Marine Corps. Resoled them every two years. Replaced them with the same boot due to the inner lining coming apart. It is a very comfortable boot. I have a pair of Harley boots that my wife bought me. I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for in footwear. Danner’s are not cheap about $234.00 a pair. Last pair I bought on sale for $175.00.

The only complaint my wife has is that the Danner Acadia looks like a cop boot. Since retiring from the Corps I am now a cop and I work ten-hour shifts. I made the mistake wearing the Harley boots that my wife gave me to work one day. Mid way through my shift my feet were killing me. My Danner’s were at the cobbler getting resoled.
Another boot I came across at the local Navy exchange this past weekend is the Adidas GSG-9.2. I bought a pair for $119.00. They are lightweight and very comfortable.

I have a pair of Cruiserworks which work great and are very comfortable but my favorites are a pair of BMW boots that I got 12 years ago. They are very comfortable, waterproof (even after all these years and miles) and have held up great (do need to be resoled now but the boots themselves are in like new condition). Prior to that I had some Magnum lace up boots that worked pretty good. They were very comfortable and waterproof but after a few years they started to fail. There is a reason one set of boots cost $100 and another $250. The cheaper ones work good but don't last as long. Figures about the same cost wise so just find something that feels good to you.

I bought a pair of Ariat Motor Boots last fall and really like them. they have three or four different styles. they are water proof and have gel in the inserts, so they are really comfortable. they also have a thing built into the sole that catches on your hiway pegs and holds your feet on the pegs a little bit which allows you to relax a bit more when stretched out. I have a couple of pairs of thier cowboy boots and love them, so I took a chance on these and they are the best ones that I've had to date.

I was at Battlefield Harley in Gettysburg a couple of years ago during one of their big weekend promotions. I was looking for a pair of boots and the guy who help me was from Redwing and was helping Battlefield during thier promo weekend. He said Redwing makes many boots for HD. He helped me select a pair of 11.5 Wide. When I looked at them closely when I got home they were made in China. Stiff as hell and I feel secure in them. They are starting to break in and feel better.

I picked up a pair of Converse Tacticals from these guys about a year ago. Awesome boots!! Good support and protection and still feel like you're wearing a pair of Chuck's!!

I have been wearing Cruizer Works boots for about 7-9 years, I have a very narrow foot and these felt like house shoes from thestart and still do.
