Just bought an 05 FLHPI... totally stock police model with 3500 miles...still has the air seat, run flat tires...whole nine yards.

Bought it to build a custom out of... HogPro wheels, fenders, paint..etc.

Need to find some quick detach hardware, back rests, seats, luggage rack..etc.

I like the popo saddle bags.. just need some chrome hardware and what not.

Any other advise from Police conversion owners?

 

Congrats on your new ride. I have owned my '04 FLHTPI for three years and found the HD Service Manuals for the Touring Models and the Police Supplent to be invaluable, especially for any mods involving switches/wiring/etc. because they contain excellent wiring diagrams whichare useful when changing the handlebar switches, for example--often the police model diagram shows what's on the bike and the civilian model diagram shows how to replicate that to add chrome switch housings, etc.
