I love my 2008 Street Glide. I agree that the dealer should be willing to throw in some upgrades - I got about $400 worth.
Go with the ABS, and cruise, both very nice. I'd also have the dealer put on the chrome front-end package (if you like chrome over black). Makes a huge difference.
Why would you not get it? I cant think of any reason to not buy the best brakes out there for any machine you own.
