I have a 7x16 tandem axle V-nose. It holds 3 touring bikes without a problem. Bought it new for about 3k and they threw in all the tie-downs I wanted and a spare.
I am in SC. A tandem tows better and has better weight distribution. Put an Ez-lift sway bar on and you will not have any high speed whipping from the trailer. I forgot to mention, it has 4 wheel brakes.
My is a Little River by Continental, rear ramp door with front side door. I installed a 13' roll up awningon the curb side. I do a lot of roadside emergency repairs and hauls. On call 24/7 with SC ABATE for ABATE members.
John....Do you plan on buying the trailer for your Florida Trip? If not there is a trailer dealer in Edgewater (Wheel-A-Way Trailers) that you can check out, I've done businessthere in the past and found them to be straight up.
I have a 14' open trailer that I was going to use. Then I started looking at enclosed trailers and thought that if the best deals are in the south then I would ride down with my wife following and get a trailer enroute. Just one option. Thanks for the heads up on edgewater. I had an offer from a member to leave my truck and trailer with him in edgewater. I will look up wheel way.
