I posted this down in the tech section with know replies. What is the download called, that turns the back cylinder off if the engine gets too hot, or the rpm's drop so low? My guess is that it is not this Stage one I hear about. I know that my dealer well install it, and uninstall it once free. Is it worth getting for a 08 Ultra? What else does it do?
RE: Is this download worth it, and what is it's name
It is called a heat management or parade download. It does pretty much what you said at idle and clutch in. Used to be standard until 07.
I didn't do it and don't know many who have.
If you ride in heavy traffic alot in hot summer months it may be worth it.
I haven't heard of any negative effects.

I plan on using my Ultra to do a lot of traveling, may get into all kinds of situations. I know last summer I rode out to Colorado, and on the way, on day, it was over 100 degrees. Has any one had any problems with the download, since the dealer said the would also uninstall it?

your best bet is go with a tuner that richens it up. the heat managment only comes on after your already too hot and if u blurp the throttle it goes back of for a few minutes so it doesnt do much goood for stop and go. but it wont hurt anything either.......
