At what point will you start to cut back on your riding???
My RK gets 45 mpg. Typical daily joy ride, about 200 miles. That's $20.
Best $20 I'll spend.

Think about it. The difference between gas for $2.50 a gallon and $3.50 a gallon. One dollar. That's about $5 a fillup. My bike lists for $18,000 plus all the stuff I add on.
We're talking a few dollars here.
So as far as riding is concerned, it's not an issue to me.

I am with everyone else here. My Hyundai Santa Fe sits a lot these days. If I am going somewhere by myself, I take the Ultra. Right now it is a bit cold for my wife so if we go together she wants the car.
It costs about $45 to fill the car. That's a little over 3 tanks for the Ultra. Car gets 18mpg, bike gets 38 around town, 42-44 on the highway. No question about which is more economical.

I don't care if it gets $10/gal.....It simply won't have any impact on me and my driving habits.
But even a 4/4.5 a gal, it's gonna kill many, many folks already strained to the limit.

It takes 15.00 to 16.50 most times to fill my RG but it makes the trip to & from work for 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 round trips for what my F-150 takes to make 1 round trip. Guess thats whythe bike now has 112,000 miles on it.
