Fuel Costs - Yikes!
Get used to it, cause there ain't no reversing it.............We, and the rest of the world, are ALL going to end up'enjoying' a uniform/universal standard of living....To be followed by a uniform/universal government, to be followed by a uniform/universal death as a people/planet and as a solar system.....
Sorry, but the processbegan when the universe was created-happened, and it simply can't be stopped.
Now that I explained it to you, just go back to your day-to-day drudgery of struggling to get to work so you can struggle to pay the bills so you can struggle to remain alive long enuff to die.......
....Andmake sure to ride your Harley every chance you get
....And make sure you don't die with a full tank
.......At the end of your life, you need to skid in sideways totally worn out and depleted or you cheated yourself.
At what point will you start to cut back on your riding???
I won't.
In fact it costs me to take the bike to work and I still ride several times a week weather permitting.

I have a company truck,,,, someone elses gas, tires, ins.....
The only time I even notice gas prices is when I fill up the bike.
so to convert that is around $2.00 per litre x 4 = $8 USD per gallon.
Wanna swap?

Also, as long as there is an "Oil Man" in the Presidency things wont get any better. I am not a Bush basher, I agree with most of what he has done, butoil is in his background and I believe influences some of the descisions in that area.
Our best hope is for someone to figure a way to cost effectively use Hydrogen as fuel and be able to convert it from water easily, and on demand to reduce the danger of storage of the gas.
Oil prices are set on the world market. With China and India increasing their energy needs, there is not as much oil left on the market. The so-called âBig Oilâ companies can not set that price.
Remember, the president tried to get us domestic oil from ANWAR. All the environmental people screamed "NO!"
Can we drill off the coast of Fla? All the old people say "NO!"
Even if we were awash in domestic oil, we can not refine it. The refineries are at 97% capacity, no time for maintenance. Optimal is about 85%.
Can we build more refineries? âNO!â Not in my back yard.
Then, lets talk about the EPA. There are 22 different blends for gasoline, depending on what part of the country you live in. The EPA sets the formula. The refineries can make only so much of formula number one before moving on to formula number 2.
Again, supply and demand.
Oh, then taxes! Here in NC, we are the most taxed state in the southeast. Thank you Gov. Easley.
As far are hydrogen, that is a pipe dream. Hydrogen does not have the energy (BTU's) that oil does. If you get 40 mpg with gas, you'll get maybe 15 with hydrogen.
Plus, if we crack the H2O molecule, there ain't no going back. Once that water is converted, it will not convert back to water.
What do we want to run out of? Oil or Water?
The solution is simple. Drill ANWAR; drill the coast of Fla. Build more refineries.
(off of my soapbox now)

Now if I can just figure out how to squeeze my daughter, son and girlfriend on the bike at one time ...
