I had the Ids installed by dealer about 5,000 miles ago. I just got back from 1,600 mile ride toDaytona and Key West. Jacked bike up to clean it and found that the back tire(wheel) will turn about a 1/4 round before the belt and sprocket start turning. It's like there is a lot of slack in the IDS system. Is this normal or has something gone wrong...Bldr
Not normal. Sounds like the rubber isolators are gone. Better check it out. Let us know, if this thing is gonna be a problem I may want to take mine off.

IMHO, the IDS looks like it's made of potmetal, fit/finish is 3rd rate. I have one on my 08.
The hub material can't be too exotic, as I just bought one for my spare wheel for $14 from Zanotti's. I can't imagine how they could make it, then add a dealer mark-up for so little.
