I spread my shift rod out to the max and set both shift levers as low as they can go (almost flat).A lot less free play, shifts are quicker and crisper and I barely have to lift my heel/toe to shift. The bike even feels even more responsive, shifts smoother and requires much less effort. My left boot is happy! [sm=smiley33.gif]
Are you still using the stock POS shift rod or did you go with something stouter?
I replaced the stock with the lowest price plain one that uses the ball joint after buddy had the stock one come apart late at night while out on the road.
Took quite a bit of zip ties, duct tape, and tie wire to get him home.
