Default Sundowner problems

Maybe someone out there can help me. I just got my new Sundowner Seat today for my FLHRI. the instructions tell me to remove a mounting bracket from my stock seat and install it on the new seat. The problem is there are no holes drilled in the new seat. I installed the rear bracket that secures the very rear of the seat, but the bracket that is secured in the middle of the seat with the two larger bolts, I'm not able to install. I wouldn't know how to get to them anyway since this is a touring seat (one piece). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Should only have to mount with 1 screw in the rear. About a ten second job.

On my Sundowner the front had a tang that fits into a slot in the frame just in front of the gas tank. On the rear of the seat is the bracket you took off from your old seat that mounts with one screw to rear fender. Which part # seat did you get?

I got the 51617-99C. It does fit in the front slot and it does secure to the back with the one screw. I was just thinking that other bracket from the stock seat would secure to the new seat but there are no holes for it. I don't have the grab strap on and I believe that it is necessary per Harley.

The grab strap is not necessary, it's your choice. As to mounting, there's only the front tang and the rear bolt. The center brackets that might be mentioned in the instructions would be for the rider backrest.
