Which windshield?

I prefer to look over, but you will have to decide for yourself. The style of helmet will also cause you to feel more buffeting. My half helmet causes a lot of buffeting if I look over the windshield.
You could just trim an inch or so off the stock 12" shield and then see if it's what you can live with.
I look a good 3" below the top of my 12" shield , so after making a couple of lexan shields , I settled on an 8".
The 9" was right in the middle of my vision (I'm shorter than most while sitting).
Make a template of the top of your shield with stiff cardboard, then drop the template 1" and mark the shield for the cut.
I use a band saw and some heavy masking tape to cut the shield , then when I'm done , just use a block of wood
and some 100 grit , then 200 grit to get the finish on the edge that I want.
If you go an inch at a time , you will find the sweet spot for YOU , and won't have a spare shield you don't use when you're done.
When you are finally finished , you'll know your height and can order replacement shields at the correct height from then on.
I really like the Clearview shields with the recurve at the top , nice quality and thick material (thermoformed) for your application.
Good luck.
