RE: Clearview Windshield Question - Please read if you have one!
....the clearview does not scratch and is equal in quality to the oem.
Better quality than oem. The oem has a film that will peel over time and the clearview doesn't. You will not get the distortion at the edge of a clearview shield like you do with the oem. I have three clearviews between my two bikes and think they are great.

I have had 3 fastaire shields in various sizes and now have an 8 inch clearview and there is absolutely no comparison in quality. Clearview is 3X more expensive but in my opinion 10X nicer. I had a warranty claim on my clearview as it cracked at one of the mounting holes. Clearview replaced it no questions asked. I found the fastaires scratch no matter how careful I was cleaining them and the clearview does not scratch and is equal in quality to the oem.
You must not be using a good cleaner as mine. (Quick Shine) w/mermaid on label... I have had several Fastaires and never scratched any of them using this.. Goes on a clean cloth.. straight on. wipe off.. done.. I use it all over the bike, paint, chrome works great.. bugs off, no problem..
I am going to check into the Clearview though as many here say you can go lower and still get protection..!!!
Something to think about as the bike does look better with a "lower" windshield.. my 2cents..
RE: Clearview Windshield Question - Please read if you have one!
The Clearview shield is excellent quality and I like the look of the recurve. I have a 9.5" Clearview recurve shield that provides the same or better wind deflection as a standard Harley 10" shield to about 65 mph. Above 70 mph I actually find the 10" standard HD shield provides better wind deflection. Just my .02.
