Here is a before pictrure and some after pictures of my '05 Ultra. I lowered it 1 1/4", removed the saddrebag trim, removed the front and rear bumpers, and replaced the windshield with a 9" smoked windshield.
It would have been a tough decision if they had been making the SG when I bought my Ultra.....next I'm thinking some wheels and a Power Commander...also want to make the TourPak detachable and get a solo seat.....then maybe a 95" big bore kit...... I have no shortage of ideas, just a shortage of cash....LOL
Good lookn Bike Mike!!! Seems to me that now you have the best of 2 worlds. A Street Glide bare bones Look, and can go back with a full blown Tour Bike. I
like Both and I Think you got these 2 options the best and Cheapest way, that being Electra Glide TO the Street Glide Look, instead of Starting with a Street Glide going TO a full blown Tour Bike. Its amazing what you can do with a HARLEY........ Enjoy the Ride............. hdman
The ride looks a lot better without the saddlebag trim and bumpers IMHO.Great looking bike.I did the same strip. It's a shame that Harley even figured out how to make money for you stripping chrome away LOL.Those saddlebag brackets are a bitch to install.
Mike how does the 3-compartment thing on the winshield attach, and is this a Harley item?? I am looking for something like this for a 06 SG.
Bike does look very good.
