Default RE: Batteries

My Ultra is only 16 months old, so I haven't had to deal with it yet, but I've always used Interstate batteries in my 77 FLH. The one that's in there now has been in it for over 4 years and the bike has sat untouched for at least a year now. I bought a new Interstate for it a couple of months ago with the acid separate and set them on the shelf to be installed later this spring so I can get the old gal ready for my 16 year old son to ride. Yesterday I moved the bike in the garage and decided to see if the battery had anything left in it. After more than a year of sitting with no battery tender or anything it still had enough juice to light the headlight up bright! It wouldn't spin the starter over, but I was amazed that it even had any fire in it!
