Don't know if that was icklick's dyno chart or not, but here is mine. Bone stock with the exception of a Bassani Road Rage, S/E Heavy Breather and a good SERT tune.
The guys that are encouraging you to go slow and enjoy the
ride are the guys that can't afford it and always have sex in the missionary position. Going faster from zero to sixty, having the power to get out of trouble and pass a semi in a heartbeat, especially when riding two up, is priceless and a real rush. Don't be boring.. be cool. Good luck.
Plus it makes it easier to do rolling burnouts and clutch induced wheelies (just don't do either in a short parking lot, don't ask me how I know)
I have to agree with Dalton if youwan't in to the 100/100 club then don't go "cheap"go with a proven set up. But keep in mind that on these bikes it is all about tq. and the tq. line is way more important than the hp#. But then again thats just me.
Perfect comments edtexas! love it....your exactly right. nothin like smokin the tire from a rolling start and rollin on the throttle to unleash some feel i in the **** power! Great Feeling.

The motor puts out 69-70hp! C'mon, need more than that!!!! Any tips on bustin into the 100hp club w. a RELIABLE & ECONOMICAL build? Or anyother way to get the HP #'s up? How much more will cams get ya?
Simplest way to get to the 100+ hp club is with a GL1800. Sorry, but it's true. 118 hp, NO add-ons necessary, out of the box. Not a Harley, sure. But no hp headaches either.
I don't sell 'em. I just own and ride both of 'em. I don't try to make a racer out of my '08 UC. It ain't ever gonna' get there. I don't try to make a "head-turner" outta' my Gl1800. It ain't gonna' get there either. I like 'em both, and I ride 'em for what they are. The Harley ain't a racer. That's not a problem for me.

My 96" is laying down 93.5 HP w/ 100.3 TQ
If I can get some dyano time and adjust the timing I should be over 100/100 easily.
I am running Woods TW7H cams, SE MCR Heads w/ cometic gasket running 10.5:1 Compression, ThunderMax Auto-Tuner, and V&H ProPipe. I have considered changing out to a D&D FatCat with a quiet baffle, but I don't have the money right now to do that.
70hp just sounds really low to me for a 96" w. race tuner, pipes, and air intake. I'll look into one of those kits to try to get it up. Man, im still bothered with those #'s! The torque #'s were not provided yet,I didnt ask. Will post a graph soon.
I agree that is really low for a 96. Maybe the tuner sucked
