How to Remove Cats?
I like the look of the stock mufflers with heat sheilds on my '08 SE Ultra ... so I just picked up a set of take-off mufflers from an '07 SE Ultra which I believe are identical to mine (thanks Randy!). Has anyone been successful in knocking out the cats on these? If so, how did you do it ... and what results did it have for you? I am trying to simply open up the air flow a bit without adding too much sound - though a deeper tone would be nicer than the stock sound! Your help greatly appreciated ...

It can be done but its a huge bitch! We did it on my buddy's 02. the cat part is in the front and there's baffles in the back. it a lot easier to just find a set of quiet slip ons. What we did was drive a spike though them, then grabbed the cat material with needle nose and pulled. it us all afternoon haha like two monkey tryin to f$@k a football.
