Default Intercom Squeals

I ride a 2000 Ultra Classic and have a problem with intermittent squealing when I plug into the rider's intercom connector. It does not seem to have the save issue if I plug the same headset into the passenger connector.

I had the fuel filter replaced a short time ago and it seems like it started after that. Could it be a short in the dashboard wiring?

Thanks,

Jimbo

I have an 07 Ultra and had the same problem. After much removing of radios and fairings and tracing wires, come to find out it was my headset. They tried a new headset and everything is a-ok. Just my experience. Bldr

The headset connector is in the tank console, sounds like the wiring may have gotten damaged when the work was done. If it was the headset it would have the problem regardless of plugging it in the front or rear.
