Default Ipod Question

For those of you who use Ipods, just wondering how you have them plugged in?? I know that's what the aux input on the face of the radio is for, but I'd sure like to hide the wire if at all possible. Ideally, I'd like to run it down the bar and into the fairing if there's some way that I can make the connection from behind. Anyone know if this is possible??

I bought a new head unit which has a USB iPod interface on the rear so I wired up through the fairing and hid the wire behind the windshield and put my ipod in the windshield bag. Don't know if you can interface the iPod to the back of the HK unit as I doubt there's an input on the back of it?

I just got a retractable cable to put in the fairing like the one below (4') only black.

Gonna put a zip tie on each side of the bar so theends don't retract into the fairing. It's enough to plugin to the front, reach my zumo or my iPod in the windshield bags and basically hides the cord when not in use.

Yup it is possible. You just have to add an aux port to the rear of the radio. the CVO website shows how to do this for 05-radios and 06+ radios

I notice a huge improvement in sound using my ipod hardwired because its digital. When you use the wireless RF finder, does it only sound as good as your radio reciever or does it still sound as good as if hardwired or somewhere in between?

Here's What I did. I just ran the wire under the gas tank console. There is a little gap between my Corbin seat and the console. I ran the power cable the same way too.
