please recomend a tranny oil I can buy on sundays stealer said syn in all 3 holes but you guys say no so what can I get on a sunday?
Thanks
What is said here are mostly opinions. The MoCo says Syn3 in all 3 holes, then you are good to go. No warranty issues. But using a good tranny oil makes a great deal of sense.Mobil 75-90 whether dyno or synthetic is one route to go, but in a pinch any name brand gear oil should do you fine.
You can use Syn 3 if you want- it won't hurt anything but it's awful expensive oil to be putting in a gearbox.
Go to Wal Mart & get a quart of any gear oil, dino or synthetic, in 75W-90, 85W-140, etc. and you'll be good to go. I know a lot of folks with Harleys who run Valvoline Durablend synthetic blend gear oil, as well as Super Tech full synthetic gear oil, either of which runs about $4 a quart at Wally World.
Or you can drop $8 a quart (or more) for Mobil 1 gear oil at an auto parts store. Won't do any better in your tranny than the $4 stuff, but for some folks mo' money = mo' betta.
Redline Heavy Shock.....Only oil I'll ever use. Long story but I ran 2500 miles with only about an ounce in tranny thanks to tech dumping out but not refilling. Runs great!!

Agree 100%, but I doubt he'll find anywhere that stocks it on the shelves on a Sunday...

+1 I run Mobil V Twin 20-50 in mtr, Redline V Twin or Shockproof in tranny. Noticable difference.
